The Right to Information Act
The Right to Information Act 2005 mandates timely response to Indian citizens for information pertaining to CPGSAS, Umiam. This act has empowered citizens and strengthened transparency in governance over the years. As the use of the Act has grown, it has become clear that its users come from diverse backgrounds—each with unique roles, expectations, and information needs.p>
Submission of application under RTI:
A request for obtaining information under sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the RTI Act, 2005, shall be accompanied by an application fee of Rupees Ten and sent to CPIO. There is no prescribed application form for seeking the information.
Mode of payment of fee:
An applicant shall make payment of fee of Rs 10/- by Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft (DD) or Bankers Cheque and send to the concerned CPIO.
